Short answer

The shop sets one cookie: a session cookie that remembers your cart, your language and your login to No Darkness Pro, and disappears when you close your browser. If you arrive via a Google ad, that session also remembers the ad’s click ID, so that we can tell Google Ads that a click led to an order. Your recent searches are kept only in your own browser. There are no analytics cookies and no cookies from Google or other advertising networks, and we do not show a cookie banner.

A cookie is a small text file that a website places in your browser, so that the site recognises you on the next page. Under the law, other storage in your browser falls under the same rules, such as the local storage (localStorage) that a website uses with JavaScript. That is why both are on this page.

Ads from Google

We advertise on Google. If you click such an ad, Google adds a click ID to the address of the page you land on (in the address you will see something like gclid=…). The shop remembers that code in the session described above, until you close your browser. We do not set an extra cookie for this, and no code from Google is loaded in the shop.

If you order and pay during that visit, we report to Google Ads that the click led to an order: the click ID, the order number, the time and the value of the order. We do not send your name, email address, address or phone number. This tells us which ads pay off and which do not. You can read more in the privacy statement.

If you do not want your order reported to Google, let us know at franky@nodarkness.be; we will stop any report that has not yet been sent. You can also prevent it by opening the shop without an ad, for example by typing the address yourself.

The shop only sets the session cookie and the local storage listed above, both from our own domain. We do not use analytics cookies to count visitors, cookies from Google or other advertising networks, or cookies from social networks. That is why we do not show a banner.

Where do the fonts come from?

The shop’s fonts are hosted on our own server. Your browser loads them from there, like the rest of the page; nothing is sent to Google or any other party for this.

How do you delete or block cookies?

In your browser settings you can view, delete and block cookies and website data, for all sites or only for nodarkness.be. If you block the session cookie, the cart will not work and you cannot place an order. You can also clear your recent searches directly with the button in the search panel.

What if this changes?

If we ever start using analytics cookies or cookies from advertising networks, we will first update this page and ask for your consent before placing such cookies, with a choice that makes refusing as easy as accepting. The date of the last change is shown at the top.
