Spectrum LED

1,501 products

Spectrum LED is the brand of Wojnarowscy, a Polish company from Katowice that started in 1990 and has its own testing laboratory. It is a technical brand: LED bulbs, LED strips with power supplies, panels, track spotlights and outdoor floodlights, often for a few euros each. We stock over 1,600 Spectrum products, half of them under €15. The product names are English codes: if you can read WW, NW, CW, CCT and IP, you will quickly find what you are looking for. About Spectrum LED

Who makes Spectrum LED?

Spectrum LED is the brand of Wojnarowscy Sp. z o.o., a company from Katowice in the south of Poland. It was founded in 1990 and, according to the company, has been on the market for 36 years. Wojnarowscy has its own laboratory with modern measuring equipment and expands its range mainly with new LED technology.

You can see that in the range: Spectrum is not a design brand but a technical brand, with many variants of the same product in wattage, colour temperature and beam angle. A large part is intended for installers and projects: panels for suspended ceilings, LED tubes for fluorescent fixtures, DALI control, motion sensors.

What is Spectrum LED strong in?

Of the over 1,600 Spectrum products we stock, over 420 are ceiling lights (including around 130 LED panels from the ALGINE line), over 260 light sources, over 170 products for track lighting, around 160 outdoor lights and over 130 LED strips, with power supplies, profiles and connectors to go with them. There are only around fifty pendant lights and fifty wall lights.

  • Light sources for little money. LED bulbs with E27, E14, GU10, G9 or MR16, candle bulbs, filament bulbs and T8 LED tubes, most under €5.
  • LED strips by the reel, usually 5 metres and also up to 30 metres, in 12 and 24 volts, with COB strips that give a continuous line of light.
  • Track lighting: the SPS tracks in 1-phase and 3-phase with spotlights such as ANDROMEDA and CHLOE, and a separate 48V track system.
  • Outdoor floodlights from the NOCTIS line, some with a motion sensor, and façade lights from IP44 to IP65.

Exactly how many kelvin WW, NW or CW is can differ slightly per product; the exact figure is in the specifications. The difference between the colour temperatures is explained in choosing a colour temperature, and what RA80 versus RA90 means in colour rendering (CRI).

What should you look out for with Spectrum LED?

Minimum order. For some of the cheapest Spectrum bulbs and components, there is a minimum per order, of up to 10 pieces. The product page and the cart show this. For a round of replacements in a whole house, that is rarely a problem; for a single bulb it is.

Dimmable is the exception. Only one in eight Spectrum products is listed as dimmable in our range. If you want to dim, look for DIMM in the name and check the specifications.

LED strip and power supply must match. A 24V strip does not work on a 12V power supply, and vice versa. Work out the power: a COB strip of 10 W per metre on a 5-metre reel needs 50 W. Take a power supply with some headroom, such as a 60 W 24V power supply. With an aluminium profile and an opal diffuser, the line becomes more even and the heat can escape. The LED strip calculator works it out for you; more explanation is in choosing an LED strip.

Track and spotlight must be of the same type. The Spectrum SPS tracks come as a 1-phase and a 3-phase track, and the name says which (1PHASE or 3PHASE). Spotlights and adapters with 3F or 3 PHASE belong on a 3-phase track; choose connectors and power supplies of the same type as the track. The 48V track system is a separate low-voltage system with its own power supply. See track lighting explained.

Frequently asked questions

Is Spectrum LED a Polish brand?

Yes. Spectrum LED is the brand of Wojnarowscy Sp. z o.o. from Katowice, a company founded in 1990.

What guarantee does Spectrum LED give?

That differs per product. For some, the period is in the name, such as 5YR for five years or 2YR for two years. Spectrum publishes its general guarantee terms on its own website.

Can I convert a fluorescent fixture with Spectrum LED tubes?

Spectrum has T8 LED tubes with a G13 lamp base and separate fixtures for them. Whether an existing fluorescent fixture is suitable depends on the wiring and on the starter or ballast. Send us a photo of the fixture before you order.

Why are the product names in English?

Spectrum LED uses international product codes. We keep them, so that you can reorder a bulb or compare it with what you already have. The table above translates the abbreviations.
